Caretaker

School Caretaker required in Romford

At Engage Education Services, we are currently recruiting for a School Caretaker in Romford. We are looking for an experienced School Caretaker with experience managing a school campus.

This shift will start at 6am to open the school and end at 1pm.

About the role

As a School Caretaker, you will be an experienced facilities professional supervising work across the school with both external and internal contractors. You will have keyholder responsibilities and will be expected to:

• Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Dust and wipe down surfaces
• Clean and sanitise restrooms
• Empty trash cans and replace liners
• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
• Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor

This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent role.

About you

• Experience working within a school environment
• A valid DBS on the DBS update service
• Availability to interview and start immediately
