Caretaker

Job Title: CaretakerLocation: BridgendHours: Split Shifts: Monday to Friday - 06:00-09:30 (AM) and 14:30-17:45 (PM)Pay: Dependant on experience £13.08 per - Contract: Ongoing temporary role with possible temp-to-perm opportunityManpower is recruiting a Caretaker on behalf of our public sector client. This is a great opportunity. There is potential for the right candidate to be offered a permanent position.

Main Duties:

• Opening and securing the premises each day
• General site upkeep, including emptying bins and minor cleaning tasks
• Overseeing traffic management to ensure pupils safely board their transport.
• Carrying out routine compliance checks, including: Legionella testing, Fire alarm testing, Perimeter and security checks
• Basic maintenance and general handyman duties

Shifts:

• Split shift pattern:
  • Morning shift: 06:00 - 09:30 (17.5 hours per week)
  • Afternoon shift: 14:30 - 17:45 (16.25 hours per week)

Requirements:

• Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience is desirable
• A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
• Enhanced DBS (Manpower covers the cost of this if you aren't on the DBS Update Service)
• Availability to start as soon as possible
• Job offers are subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references.
