Salary: Up to £55,000

About the Role A new opportunity has arisen for a Care Solicitor with around 2 or more years' PQE to join a well-established regional practice in Birmingham. The firm has a long-standing Legal Aid franchise and is widely respected award winning for its dedicated Family and Child Care department. Known for its compassionate and professional approach, the team has built strong relationships with local authorities and the courts across the West Midlands.

This role offers genuine flexibility, ongoing professional support, and the chance to work with a highly experienced group of solicitors who are passionate about protecting children and supporting families.

You will handle a diverse and rewarding caseload of public law children matters, working with clients through care proceedings, pre-proceedings, and related issues. The firm is proud of its inclusive and collaborative environment, encouraging progression and accreditation.

The role will involve:

• Managing a caseload of public law children matters, including care and supervision proceedings.
• Advising and representing clients with professionalism and empathy.
• Drafting court documents, preparing bundles, and conducting advocacy where appropriate.
• Liaising effectively with guardians, local authorities, and other professionals.
• Supporting the continued growth and reputation of the care team.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years' PQE in Care or Public Law Children work.
• Have experience working under a Legal Aid franchise.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, advocacy, and organisational skills.
• Be committed to providing high-quality, client-focused care representation.
