Care Home Cook

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join the team at Palace House Nursing Home on a self-employed/contract basis, working approximately 3-5 days per week.

The role will involve preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals for our residents, including catering for individual dietary requirements, allergies, modified-texture diets and preferences.

• Preparing breakfast, lunch, evening meals and snacks
• Following agreed menus and residents' dietary requirements
• Catering for special diets, allergies and texture-modified meals
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Completing food safety records, temperature checks and other required documentation
• Managing stock and assisting with food ordering
• Working closely with care and nursing staff regarding residents' nutritional needs
