Job Description

As the foremost supplier of quality special needs staffing solutions in the UK, Axcis Education continues to grow, and we are looking to expand our team based in our Central London office and appoint a Candidate Consultant (Resourcer). Our Candidate Consultants are responsible for recruiting teaching assistants, support workers and teachers to work in schools, education provisions and residential settings to cover short and long term positions. You'll be responsible for writing job adverts, building relationships with universities, colleges and job centres, looking through CV sites, speaking to new registrations, interviewing potential candidates both in person and online, assisting with all necessary vetting and compliance to get their file cleared for work, and then liaising with the Education Consultants to get the candidates placed into work. The ideal person must be enthusiastic, hardworking, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enjoy meeting people and speaking on the phone as well as be able to build relationships and rapport with others easily. We'd prefer it if you have some experience of working in the education sector, or experience in a customer service or administration role, however, this isn't a deal breaker as full training and support will be given. What's most important is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!

What Axcis has to offer:
  • Salary starting from £26.5k, depending upon experience
  • Very competitive bonus scheme (to be discussed at interview stage)
  • Full time permanent role, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (shift patterns between 7am and 6pm)
  • Work from home options after the initial training period
  • Reduced working hours during school holidays
  • Late start/early finish every Friday during term time
  • 90 Minute lunch break once a week
  • Staff discount and wellbeing package - including access to an Employee Assistance Programme INDINT

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer and as such we do not discriminate based on age, gender, disability, race or any other equal opportunities criteria.

The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such, you will be required to provide an up to date DBS, or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf, in addition to other mandatory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines (for details please see our website). If the position you are applying for involves working with children or vulnerable adults, this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
