Job Description
Mid-Level C++ Developer (5+ years of experience)
Location: Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite in Hounslow
Rate: £350 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 12 months (Extension highly likely)
Are you an experienced C++ Developer looking for your next long-term contract? We are seeking a technically strong and versatile Mid-Level C++ Developer to join our client's high-performing team on a travel technology project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance Back End components using C+ or newer.
- Design dynamic, responsive Front End interfaces with AngularJS/Angular 2+.
- Support and enhance existing systems with a focus on performance, stability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, QA, DevOps, etc.) to deliver new features.
- Refactor Legacy code and actively contribute to reducing technical debt.
- Write clean, well-documented, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews and support junior developers where appropriate.
- Uphold secure coding practices and adhere to development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as part of ongoing system support.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficient in C+ or later with strong knowledge of memory management, concurrency, and object-oriented programming.
- Solid experience with AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and web service integration.
- Experience in maintenance/support roles involving bug fixing and system enhancement.
- Strong debugging and full-stack problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using Git and working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or Sprints.
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to team communication and delivery.
Education & Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Industry knowledge in full-stack software development is essential.
