Job Description

Cpl in partnership with our client Pfizer are seeking a BVS Bio Vaccines Process Scientist to join Bio Vaccines OPU team for an 11 month fixed term contract, at their state of the art plant in Dublin, Grange Castle. This is a hybrid role.

Job Purpose

The Process Scientist will provide technical and operational support to the Bio Vaccines Suites (BVS) Operating Unit (OpU), ensuring robust, compliant, and efficient manufacturing across Suites 1, 2, 4, and 5. This role is responsible for leading process-related QAR investigations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting technical and manufacturing issues, and supporting regulatory inspection readiness. The Process Scientist will play a key role in safeguarding reliable product supply and enabling excellence in operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead QAR investigations in eQMS for process related issues, providing product/process impact assessments, appropriate root cause analysis and effective CAPA implementation.
  • Support Process Monitoring programmes for the BVS OpU.
  • Use Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) and the Digital Operations Centre (DOC) to drive success in the Safety, Quality, Supply, Finance and People metrics.
  • Identify process & equipment improvements, safety initiatives and develop these into Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
  • Provide process technical support/troubleshooting and implement process CAPA's and improvements.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement and Safety initiatives.
  • Represent the Technical Operations Process Science team in supporting Pfizer Quality Standards (PQS) implementation and regulatory inspections.
  • Lead and execute the annual Media Sims in collaboration with Operations.
  • Provide technical training on the process and as required by Operations.
  • Develop and maintain productive collaboration onsite with all departments and off-site relations.
  • Lead/ represent Tech Ops Process Science on short duration project teams where responsibilities would include SME technical oversight whilst ensuring overall project objectives of scope, cost and schedule are adhered to
Education/Experience
  • Third level Qualification in Science, Engineering or equivalent is preferred, though not essential.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Industry, preferably Biopharmaceutical/ Pharmaceutical.
  • Relevant Method 1 completion and Vault eQMS QAR experience.
  • Working knowledge of LIMS, INFORMA, MCS, SAP, QTS, MES and AMPS.
  • Experience of regulatory inspections.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently and in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
