Business Teacher

Flourish Education are looking for a Business Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Bartley Green. This is a great opportunity for a teacher seeking a part-time position where you can make a positive contribution to students' learning while working as part of a welcoming school community.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated teaching team and will be supported to deliver engaging lessons that help pupils understand how Business applies to the wider world.

You will teach Business across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, taking responsibility for planning, preparation, assessment and marking. The role would suit an experienced Business Teacher or an ECT looking for a part-time opportunity within a secondary school.

This part-time Business Teacher role is due to start in September 2026 and will provide maternity cover for the full academic year.

The Role

• Deliver engaging Business lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and prepare lessons that are accessible and challenging for all students
• Take responsibility for marking, assessment and monitoring pupil progress
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different abilities and learning styles
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations
• Encourage students to develop their understanding of Business and its relevance to everyday life
• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Contribute to the wider Business department and school community

Required Skills and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Previous experience teaching Business within a UK Secondary School
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
• Good understanding of the Business curriculum and assessment requirements
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons independently
• A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching
• Commitment to supporting students to achieve their potential

This Business Teacher role is based in Bartley Green, South Birmingham, and is easily accessible from Quinton, Northfield, Harborne, Halesowen, Selly Oak, Weoley Castle, Rubery and surrounding areas. The school has good transport links and convenient access by car and public transport.
