Business Systems Analyst IRL/UK

The Business Systems Analyst reports to the Head of Information Systems and works to identify and implement process change throughout the Company. The role will involve delivering business solutions and requirements in line with the business demands through continuous improvement. You will work with various stakeholders to identify, design, modify, enhance or adapt existing systems while integrating new features and improvements.

This role will be based in either Ireland or the UK, working with stakeholders from Ireland, the UK and the US. The jobholder should have the flexibility and desire for travel with this role.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Identify and deliver Business Solutions and requirements in line with the business demands through continuous improvement. Ensure the solutions are practical, achievable, cost effective and meet company objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritise business requirements for system enhancements and new projects.
  • Analyse existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization.
  • Design and document system requirements, including data models, user interfaces, workflows, and integration points.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, system specifications, and process flowcharts.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of new systems and software, including data migration and user training.
  • Provide a key link between the business and IS for change implementation, ensuring effective communication within the business are followed.
  • Provide ongoing support to business users, troubleshoot system issues, and implement enhancements as needed.
  • Manage relationships with software vendors, including contract negotiation, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance monitoring.
  • Analyse data to extract meaningful insights and provide recommendations for data-driven decision-making.
  • Working on the automation and integration of existing and new systems
  • Providing regular progress reports to management.
  • Delivering weekly RAG status updates to management.
  • Provision of expert guidance and support to the business, including training delivery

Qualifications

  • Computer Science Degree (essential)

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with the full software implementation project lifecycle
  • Extensive experience of systems analysis and implementation.
  • Experience of Business Intelligence and CRM applications.
  • Capable of prioritizing multiple projects and still meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and client/stakeholder-handling skills, with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail.
  • The jobholder must have the flexibility and ability to travel freely within the EU and between EU & UK.
  • Experience of BI Tools would be an advantage.
