LOCATION: London -TVC - The team are in the London office typically 3 days per week (Tuesday to Thursday) with some exceptions. However, we work in flexible and agile ways, which we can discuss at interview stage.
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £45,000 - £50,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. Plus London Weighting Allowance £5,441. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Purpose of the RoleThe Business Support Manager will play a key role in providing comprehensive administrative and business support to the Company Secretary and the wider team, enabling the Secretariat to successfully deliver on its strategic objectives and goals.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact- Partner with the Company Secretary to ensure the Company Secretary Team is well organised and delivers effective governance services across BBC Commercial businesses.
- Act as the primary liaison for Commercial Board directors, particularly non executives, ensuring smooth communication and support.
- Coordinate meetings, including scheduling Board, Committee, and Leadership sessions, booking rooms, arranging travel, and supporting administrative logistics.
- Oversee document and information management, including publishing meeting packs via Diligent Boards, maintaining the team's intranet site, and securely handling incoming correspondence.
- Provide comprehensive administrative and business support to the Company Secretary Team, including processing purchase orders, managing invoices, and maintaining shared calendars.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Governance Manager to maintain the corporate calendar and ensure all key dates and commitments are accurately diarised.
- Oversee and manage the Company Secretary's diary, ensuring efficient scheduling and prioritisation of commitments.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Demonstrated experience providing support to C suite executives, senior leaders or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of the Company Secretary function and its responsibilities.
- Proven experience working in a fast paced environment while consistently maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent IT skills combined with capability to manage ad hoc initiatives.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Highly capable of managing a diverse and demanding workload.
- Confident in learning, adopting, and leveraging new technology platforms.
DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
- Familiarity with Diligent Boards and Diligent Entities (or similar governance software) would be ideal.
