Job Description

BrisDoc is a clinician led, employee owned social enterprise delivering NHS urgent and primary care across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. We're looking for a friendly, organised and motivated individual to join our Business Services team and help support the smooth running of our Head office and wider organisation.

Important Eligibility Information

BrisDoc is not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract.

Main duties of the job

As a Business Services Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting our head office and Business Services function. You'll provide a welcoming front of house service, help keep the office running smoothly, and support a range of administrative and coordination tasks.

You'll be supported to learn, ask questions and develop your confidence in a professional office environment.

The role is available as:

  • A Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship
  • A 2 year fixed term contract for candidates not following the apprenticeship route

If completing the apprenticeship, you'll receive paid off the job training and support to successfully complete your qualification.

  • Salary: £13.45 per hour
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (includes college time if apprenticing)
  • Contract: Apprenticeship or 2 year fixed term

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent
  • Able and willing to undertake and complete the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship if required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic IT skills, including confidence using email, Word and Excel or similar packages
  • Able to organise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Able to communicate in a polite and professional way with colleagues, visitors and external contacts
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes and ways of working
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and handling information appropriately
  • Awareness of what good customer service looks like
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office or similar digital tools in school, college, work or everyday life
  • Experience of organising tasks or activities in school, college, volunteering, community, work or other group settings
