Business Intelligence Expert

For: Freelancer/payroll

Location: Ghent (main office), with regular presence in Brussel and Leuven

Remote: 1 day on-site/week

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Specialist to join the team of one of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Structure and improve BI reporting processes in collaboration with the BI Manager
• Collect and analyze business requirements and translate them into impactful dashboards
• Create dashboard mockups using design-thinking methods
• Develop reports and dashboards using Webfocus (or similar BI tools)
• Ensure proper documentation and version control of reporting assets
• Conduct structured testing to ensure data quality and accuracy
• Promote the adoption of BI tools across teams through clear storytelling and stakeholder support
• Apply ITIL/SDLC principles pragmatically in your reporting projects

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or data analysis
• Hands-on experience with BI tools (Webfocus is preferred, but Power BI, Qlik, Tableau are relevant)
• Native Dutch speaker, with professional English as working language, French is a plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience working in agile or cross-functional teams is a plus
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and share learnings
