Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The Omni-Channel BI & Planning Analyst serves as the critical data bridge between our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Technology and Operations teams and our Commercial Merchandising and Sales Planning teams. This role is responsible for transforming complex transactional and platform data into clear, actionable Business Intelligence that drives optimization of our customer experience, platform efficiency, and product sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. DTC Platform & Operational Analysis (Supporting Operations/Tech)
Performance Monitoring: Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and reports (using Power BI/Tableau) to track core DTC operational KPIs, including site performance, order placement volumes, fulfillment rates, and customer service contact drivers.
System Integrity & Root Cause: Analyze data integrity and flow between the SAP Hybris/eCommerce Platform, OMS, and fulfillment systems. Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) on critical issues impacting order processing, returns, or inventory discrepancies.
Returns & Post-Order Analytics: Provide deep analytical insights into return rates, return reasons, and order cancellation trends to inform platform feature development and operational process improvements.
2. Commercial Merchandising & Sales Planning (Supporting Commercial)
Sales & Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with Merchandising to analyze historical sales, promotional impact, and inventory levels to refine demand forecasts and support the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process.
Product Performance Analysis: Track and report on key Merchandising metrics, including product sell-through rates, inventory aging, margin analysis, and optimal stock levels across various channels.
Pricing & Promotional Insight: Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of pricing strategies and promotions, providing data-driven recommendations on product placement and markdown strategies.
3. Data Infrastructure & Reporting Excellence
Data Modeling & ETL: Utilize Power Query/SQL to extract, transform, and load data from disparate sources (database, internal systems, commerce platforms) into comprehensive, linked data models for reporting.
Self-Service BI: Develop and govern self-service reporting tools and training to empower stakeholders across Operations and Merchandising to utilize data independently.
Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc deep dives and present findings clearly to senior leaders, translating complex technical data points into strategic business implications.
Skills and Attributes
