Job PurposeAs a Business Director (Media) you are the strategic and commercial lead for our largest media services clients. You oversee performance and growth of full funnel media channel services - Programmatic, Paid Search and Paid Social - ensuring media spend is optimised for maximum business impact while leading a high performing team of channel specialists.
Business Directors develop, negotiate and manage scopes of work and support new business proposals and pitches.
What you'll do- Client Partnership: Build and maintain strong, long lasting client relationships, acting as a strategic partner and primary point of contact for global accounts.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clients (including c level) to develop growth hypotheses that deliver business impact and lead multi service initiatives.
- Operational Excellence: Own growth, profitability and long term vision for the global account, setting clear goals and fostering accountability.
- Business Development: Drive client growth, new service adoption and revenue expansion; identify and pursue new business opportunities, cross sell and upsell services.
- Solution Delivery: Work cross functionally to ensure seamless delivery of integrated solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse client performance, providing regular reports and insights to demonstrate value and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform client strategies and uncover new opportunities.
- Commercial Collaboration: Lead contract negotiations and renewals to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Extensive prior agency experience.
- Deep understanding of paid media channels.
- Experience managing complex campaigns and retainers.
- Experience leading a high volume, multi service retainer(s) for brands/clients.
- Experience motivating, coaching and inspiring teams.
- Strong delegation skills and ability to coordinate activities across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex messages to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinking that aligns projects with company strategy, values and goals.
- Problem solving ability, collecting relevant information to evaluate solutions and consequences.
- Strong client relationship management skills, working directly with directors, VPs and C level clients.
