Associate Director, Client Services - Paris (EMEA Region)

Location: Central Paris or Amsterdam

Reporting To: Head of Paris Office, with a dotted line to the Director, Global Client Services

Team Support:

  • Two Telesales staff
  • One Researcher

Overview

The Associate Director, Client Services - Paris will lead business development efforts across France and the wider EMEA region. The role focuses on identifying and securing profitable opportunities in the corporate interiors and workplace design sector. This position requires strong commercial acumen, strategic vision, and relationship-building skills to drive growth and position the company as a leading provider of workplace consultancy, design, and delivery services.

Working in close collaboration with local and global teams, this individual will mentor junior staff, shape business development strategies, and foster a culture of excellence, agility, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Market Engagement

  • Build a strong understanding of the company's value proposition and service offering across design, strategy, and project delivery.
  • Monitor market trends and use insights to create targeted strategies for growth in Paris and across the EMEA region.
  • Position the business as a partner of choice for multinational corporations, consultancies, and brokers operating in the region.

Lead Generation & Business Development

  • Drive high-quality lead generation through research, networking, and proactive outreach.
  • Engage directly with senior decision-makers across target sectors.
  • Collaborate with marketing to produce persuasive collateral and tailored pitch material for client presentations.

Client Relationship Management

  • Nurture relationships with key stakeholders including occupiers, project managers, and real estate consultants.
  • Act as a strategic advisor through all phases of the client journey-from initial engagement to project completion and beyond.
  • Promote client retention and long-term partnerships through excellent service and consistent follow-up.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work with EMEA leadership to ensure local strategies align with broader business objectives.
  • Lead weekly pipeline meetings and provide insight into upcoming opportunities, active pursuits, and overall market activity.
  • Produce monthly reports tracking KPIs, challenges, and market developments.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach and support members of the Client Services team, encouraging personal and professional growth.
  • Champion innovation by testing new lead-generation tactics and refining business development processes.
  • Support other senior colleagues by unlocking opportunities through their extended networks.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience: 5+ years in business development, ideally within the workplace design and build, real estate, or commercial interiors sector.
  • Regional Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Parisian commercial property market and broader EMEA dynamics.
  • Relationship Building: Skilled in developing and sustaining relationships with senior-level clients and stakeholders.
  • Account Management: Experience managing key accounts and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills-confident in boardroom settings.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team toward common goals.
  • Language: Fluency in both French and English preferred.
