Salary - £35,000 to £45,000, OTE £50,000 to £60,000

About the opportunity

A growing security and facilities services business is creating its first Business Development Representative role. Until now, every sale has been won by the senior leadership team. They will keep leading and closing new business, and you will own everything before that: finding the right organisations, opening conversations and booking qualified meetings.This is outbound business development, not telesales. You will build an organic pipeline using ZoomInfo, multi channel outreach and your own research.

What you will do

• Research and target organisations across healthcare, education, commercial property, retail and the public sector
• Run outbound campaigns across phone, email and LinkedIn
• Qualify each opportunity: decision maker, needs, current supplier, buying interest and where possible, spend
• Book confirmed meetings for the Commercial Director and Managing Director, with a clear brief for each
• Explore security, cleaning and FM services in every conversation
• Keep accurate pipeline records and feed back what you learn about the market

What you will bring

• Outbound B2B sales or business development experience selling a considered service or product
• Multi channel prospecting experience across phone, email and LinkedIn
• A proactive, self starting approach to finding new opportunities
• The commercial understanding to turn one enquiry into a wider conversation
• Experience qualifying opportunities and booking meetings for senior colleagues

Useful extras

• Security or facilities management sector experience or knowledge
• Experience selling into healthcare, education, retail, commercial property or local authorities
• Experience using ZoomInfo

The package

£35,000 to £45,000 basic plus bonus, with on target earnings of £50,000 to £60,000. Bonus is paid on qualified meetings and on contracts won from meetings you sourced. Success is measured on meetings, not on deals you do not control.
