Location: United Kingdom / Remote - must be based in the UK
Start date: As soon as possible
️Travel: Frequent (primarily within the UK, occasionally elsewhere in Europe)
Salary: Market-based, depending on experience
As Business Development Manager UK, you will be responsible for developing OneThird's presence in the UK fresh produce market. You will research your target segment, create a strategic plan aligned with OneThird's overall mission, and build long-lasting relationships with growers, distributors, and retailers.
Working closely with our marketing and customer success teams, you will generate and qualify leads, engage with potential customers, and guide them through the full implementation of OneThird's digital quality solution.
You will own the UK sales forecast and ensure you meet and exceed your regional targets. You'll identify key decision makers, champions, and influencers within customer organizations, and support them through the full adoption process-creating long-term partnerships that maximize the value OneThird provides.
Responsibilities- Manage the full sales cycle: from lead generation to closing multi-year agreements.
- Develop and execute a commercial strategy for the UK market, in line with OneThird's growth ambitions.
- Translate customer needs into actionable implementation plans for the OneThird solution.
- Work with customers and internal teams to define KPIs and determine ROI.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM system to optimize the sales funnel and forecast.
- Collaborate closely with customer success, product development, and marketing teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.
- Represent OneThird at trade fairs, customer visits, and key UK industry events.
- Report directly to our Founder / CCO.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in the Fresh Produce (AGF) industry within the UK.
- Strong existing network of growers, suppliers, and retailers in the UK market.
- Deep understanding of fresh produce supply chains and quality management processes.
- Proven track record in introducing or scaling innovative agritech or quality solutions.
- Affinity with technology (SaaS, sensors, AI, optical systems).
- Strong commercial skills: from cold outreach to strategic account management.
- Excellent command of English (both spoken and written).
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and communicatively skilled.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the UK.
- You thrive in a start-up or scale-up environment and take ownership from day one.
- You're passionate about solving inefficiencies in the food chain and want to make a measurable, real-world impact.
- You have the credibility and relationships to engage confidently with growers and retailers across the UK.
