This role will support our Marchwood business in driving growth and expanding our market presence.

Marchwood Scientific is a leading UK laboratory specializing in environmental testing and analysis. Their expertise includes:

Dioxin and Furans Analysis

Stack Emissions Testing

Occupational Hygiene Analysis

Waste Characterization Testing

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. Your goal will be to increase revenue and ensure the long-term success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets, including the international expansion.

Develop and implement effective business development strategies.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.

Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.

Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives.

Lead the commercial engine of the fastest growing division in Diagnostics Europe.

Qualifications:

Proven track record in business development and technical sales within the environmental and or food/feed testing sectors.

Extensive knowledge of Persistent Organic Pollutants analysis including Dioxins and PFAS and the requirements for which within Land Contamination, Stack Emissions, Waste and or Food & Feed markets

Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and experience managing large or complex client accounts.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify technical topics for non-specialist audiences.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Science or a related field.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Results-oriented with a track record of achieving targets.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

After taking time out to complete his PhD in plant molecular biology, he returned to the business in 2005 and now leads our team of study directors at Mambo-Tox. Sean joined Cawood as a biochemistry graduate to work in the NRM soil analysis laboratory. Over the last 19 years he has worked his way up through sales and business development roles and is now Divisional Managing Director for Cawood Agriculture. Sean is responsible for creating commercial strategies which support and accelerate our growth. Having worked at all the different levels in the company, Sean is a firm believer in making the business a place where people can thrive. Our history At the heart of Cawood is NRM, the UK's leading agricultural laboratory, founded in 1990. The Cawood group was formed in 2006 with the acquisition of the animal feed testing business, Sciantec.

Since then, we have grown rapidly through our strong relationships with customers, our ongoing investment in people and equipment, and the acquisition of businesses that complement or expand our services. This development has allowed us to increase our range of services and extend our reach into global markets.
