Job title: Business Development Manager: Manned Guarding
Salary: Up to £60,000 basic + car + bonus, OTE £75K Year 1
Location: 2485 AC; Business Development Manager; Manned Guarding London + SE
Field-based role: working from home and London office.
Our client is a growing provider of Manned Guarding. Due to expansion, they are seeking an experienced sales professional in the manned guarding sector to proactively convert immediate opportunities and develop new business within the SE market.
You should have a background in business development within the manned guarding industry. The role is flexible regarding location, ideally from Milton Keynes south to London. The company is investing in bid support resources to help build your pipeline and support a long-term sales strategy. You will report to the Commercial Director.

Requirements:
- Proven track record in manned guarding sales and broad business acumen
- Ability to evaluate opportunities, present effectively, and close deals
- Excellent financial and commercial awareness
- Persuasive, credible, and skilled in negotiation
- Ability to build rapport quickly and overcome barriers
- Strong relationship-building skills, both over the phone and face-to-face
- Organizational and time management skills to handle conflicting priorities
- Valid full UK driving license
- Results-driven with a strong motivation to succeed
Responsibilities:
- Identify growth opportunities within new clients and execute strategies
- Network actively and conduct cold calls to develop new business
- Consultative selling of services including static manned guarding, patrol, response, and security systems
- Prepare competitive and profitable quotes
- Participate in PQQs, site visits, and tender submissions, including presentations
- Achieve sales targets for new and existing clients
- Support negotiations in collaboration with the Bid Team and Finance, adhering to bid guidelines
- Maintain awareness of market trends and competitor activities
- Attend trade events and pursue networking opportunities
