Job Description

AgileSource Ltd are looking for an experienced Business Development Director. This is a permanent role with a hybrid/remote working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the UK Central Government and a strong background in the technology consulting services.

Working Arrangement - 4 days remote/1 day in office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive growth and achieve targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the public sector and the UK Central Government.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities and results to senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of experience in business development,
  • Must have the public sector or UK Central Government.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the consulting services industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective business development plans.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid/remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a consulting organisation.
  • Strong network of contacts within the public sector and UK Central Government.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and opportunities within the public sector.
