Role Description
We are looking for a commercially-minded Business Development Lead to lead our client's growth across the UK financial sector. This role is all about driving new business, identifying opportunities, building relationships and leading initiatives that position them as a trusted partner to banks and lenders.
You'll be responsible for the full business development lifecycle, from lead generation and outreach to shaping commercial proposals and running campaigns. You'll collaborate closely with the consultants to align client needs with our technical strengths and you'll represent the business at industry events and roundtables.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development strategy and execution across the UK financial services market
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
- Attend and represent the client at key industry conferences and networking events
- Organise business development campaigns, such as webinars, roundtables and workshops
- Generate and tailor outreach campaigns to engage decision-makers at banks and lenders
- Develop pitch materials and commercial proposals in collaboration with the consulting team
- Contribute to overall marketing and brand positioning strategy
- Maintain awareness of trends in credit risk including IFRS 9, IRB, model risk and regulatory change
Qualifications
- Around 4 years of experience in credit risk (e.g. modelling, validation, analytics) or business development in consulting/financial services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of UK credit risk regulations (e.g. IFRS 9, IRB) and the consulting sales cycle
- Proven track record of generating leads, converting opportunities, and managing relationships
- Commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Confident presenting and networking in professional settings
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, growing consultancy
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related field
