About the team: Reporting into the Senior Sales Manager, you will be part of a collaborative and high-performing Client Engagement team focused on driving innovation within the insurance market. You'll work closely with sales, product, and delivery colleagues, contributing to a dynamic environment where continuous feedback, shared expertise, and customer-centric thinking drive success.This is an exciting opportunity to shape the claims proposition at LexisNexis Risk Solutions and take ownership of a key growth area for the business. About the role: As Business Development Director , you will play a key role in expanding LexisNexis Risk Solutions' footprint in the claims space within the UK & Ireland insurance market. You will lead the sale of our data solutions into the claims processes of personal lines insurers, primarily in the Private Car market and support the development and evolution of the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Claims product strategy.As a Claims subject matter expert, you will act as a trusted advisor, identifying opportunities to integrate our industry-leading claims solutions into insurer workflows and platforms. This includes understanding client needs, shaping consultative sales engagements, and building strong relationships that drive revenue. You'll be responsible for: Meeting or exceeding monthly and annual revenue targets Supporting our Account Management organisation in client interactions, being the claims expert for LexisNexis Risk Solutions in discussions with the claims teams of insurers in the UK & Ireland Supporting the development and evolution of the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Claims product strategy. Creating and implementing strategic sales and territory plans Driving Voice of Customer initiatives to shape commercial strategy Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers across accounts Identifying incremental opportunities through gap analysis and market insight Leading client meetings and effectively progressing new business opportunities as a Claims subject matter expert Understanding the value proposition of LexisNexis products and articulating it to address client needs Staying informed of competitive threats and evolving client demands Collaborating with Sales Support and Technical Implementation teams to ensure client satisfaction Qualifications: Experience in the claims area of Personal Lines Insurance within the Motor business line is essential. Experience of Home is also desirable. A comprehensive understanding of the entire claims process, from the First Notification of Loss ('FNOL') through to resolution. Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and/or work experience in the professional sales environment desirable. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Commercial acumen and the ability to develop strategic sales plans, analyse gaps and unlock new opportunities. Passion for innovation in insurance, a drive to exceed targets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, client-driven environment. Proficiency with data analysis and business planning tools. Ability to travel up to 30-50% of the time, including overnight stays. Experience in a client-facing, consultative sales environment is desirable.
