Responsibilities

As a Business Development and Capture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth across our Sense and Connect portfolio within Babcock Mission Systems. This high impact position brings strategy and execution together as you lead complex pursuits, shape compelling solutions, and collaborate with technical experts to win and deliver strategically important programmes.

Your work will influence strategic communications capabilities in the UK and international markets. You will build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, using insight and creativity to develop solutions that matter. You gain exposure to senior leaders, complex bids and long term career growth.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Leading complex capture and business development activities across strategic communications campaigns
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Developing and delivering clear campaign strategies aligned to business growth objectives
  • Managing opportunities from early shaping through bid submission and contract mobilisation
  • Advising senior operational and project leadership on commercial and capture best practice
Essential Experience
  • Proven success in business development, capture and solution development for complex opportunities
  • Experience working with customers and suppliers in strategic communications domains
  • Strong knowledge of the strategic communications market
  • Credibility working across UK Ministry of Defence and international sectors
  • Commercial awareness with confidence to lead winning, customer focused solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
