Business Change Manager - Lichfield (Hybrid working) - £50 - £60K + Benefits

Role Overview and Purpose

As the Business Change Manager, you will be the key link between the business and ongoing projects, helping to manage change and plan for the future by improving ways of working and efficiency in line with the businesses purpose and strategy. This role ensures that changes are effectively Embedded into the organisation by focusing on stakeholder engagement, communication, training, adoption and benefits realisation. The Business Change Manager acts as a bridge between project delivery teams and business operations to ensure smooth transitions and suitable outcomes.

You will be working on a variety of process improvement tasks and projects, providing support to central and operational teams. You will manage an end-to-end cycle from understanding and gathering requirements and issues, formal documentation through to implementation, and if required presenting to stakeholders of all levels and all areas of the business. This is specific to the change portfolio and has a remit for existing in-flight change.

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to maximise employee adoption and minimise resistance.
  • Partner with Project Managers, business system owners and other stakeholders to ensure change initiatives meet objectives and deliver intended benefits.
  • Conduct change impact assessments and readiness analyses to identify key business impacts and potential risks for a change being delivered in the organisation.
  • Create and deliver/support communications in conjunction with our central communications team plans that effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to determine requirements for training, workshops and other capability-building activities to support change and adoption.
  • Facilitate feedback loops and continuous improvement in change delivery.
  • Work closely with the PMO Benefits Manager to ensure benefits realisation by embedding new ways of working into business operations.
  • Develop and support ways of working that underpin efficiency and continuous improvements ie process ownership
  • Create and maintain resources to enable wider business understanding of the impact of change - process maps, system interdependencies etc
  • Promote and facilitate cross functional working
  • Support development of or develop policies, procedures and supporting documentation including process maps to support new and updated processes
  • Engage and be involved in relevant projects across the business to ensure the impact of change on existing business processes and ways of working are assessed, understood and accounted for in the proposed change plans.
  • Ensure business changes are planned and delivered in a way that ensures success and limits negative operational impact
  • Evaluate recent changes to ensure they are successful, effective, and aligned with continuous improvement principles

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required

  • Professional change management qualification or accreditation such as - APMG Change Management, APMP CCMP Certified Change Management Professional, CMI Accredited Change Manager or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable leading change workshops and delivering outcomes, whilst holding others to account.
  • Proficient in MS Office and able to present information in a way that is impactful and easy to interpret by a wide range of colleagues.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering/supporting communications and roll out plans
  • Demonstrable experience of driving adoption post change with the ability to translate this into quantifiable benefits and report on them
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Ability to motivate others and lead change
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • A passion for embedding designed solutions with a positive attitude to change whilst remaining responsive to business need
  • Project and programme management awareness, with ability to integrate change management into delivery plans
  • Process Mapping and process improvements - understanding of BPMN/UML mapping methods preferred.
  • Hold a full driving license
