BUSINESS & PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER
Posted 2 hours 18 minutes ago by Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council
If you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference to people's lives while helping a busy service run smoothly behind the scenes, this could be the opportunity for you. Our Occupational Therapy and Independent Living Services teams support residents to remain independent, safe, and confident in their homes.
As part of this friendly and dedicated service, you'll play a key role in keeping everything moving - from coordinating day to day processes to supporting projects that help us improve and evolve. You'll be joining a team that values collaboration, compassion, and practical problem solving, all focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for the people of Cardiff.
About the jobThis is a varied and engaging role where no two days look the same. You'll be the person who helps make sure the service runs efficiently, providing a blend of administrative, organisational, and project support to the Occupational Therapy management team.
You'll help keep our systems and processes running smoothly - whether that's coordinating inquiries coming into the Contact Team, supporting the onboarding of new starters, or organising meetings and ensuring key actions are followed up. Your role will also include supporting projects that shape how the service grows and improves, contributing to planning, data gathering, and performance monitoring.
You'll also act as a link point for Ombudsman complaints, helping ensure responses are managed sensitively, accurately, and on time. Throughout it all, you'll work closely with colleagues across the service, becoming a trusted point of coordination and support.
What We Are Looking For From YouWe're looking for someone who thrives in a role that brings together organisation, communication, and a genuine interest in improving how services work.
You'll be confident using a range of IT systems, comfortable managing competing priorities, and able to maintain calm and clarity even on busy days. Strong communication skills are key - both in writing and in person - as is the ability to build positive working relationships.
Experience in a health, social care, or related environment will be helpful, as will an understanding of how Occupational Therapy services support individuals with a wide range of needs.
Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive, adaptable approach and a commitment to supporting both colleagues and the community.
Additional informationWe are committed to your development and have well-established supervision and Personal Performance and Development schemes, training and CPD programmes (where appropriate)
