Business Analyst/Fluent French or Dutch speaking/800 Euros per day

Excellent freelance opportunity for a Dutch/French + English speaking Business Analyst with Card Tokenization (banking) experience to join an established Financial Organisation in Brussels.

Full time role working 3 days per week onsite in Brussels

Must be fluent in Dutch or French.

References will be required.

Mission Overview:

The consultant will support the delivery of payment initiatives relative to cards with a primary focus on the implementation of card tokenization capabilities.

The consultant will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, payment scheme partners, technology providers, and development teams, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of the initiatives while maintaining alignment with regulatory, security, and customer experience requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Card Tokenization (Experience essential)

• Define and document business requirements, functional specifications, and target operating processes.
• Lead the implementation of card tokenization capabilities
• Coordinate the integration activities involving payment schemes, issuers, processors, wallet providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage dependencies, risks, issues, and delivery milestones.
• Validate solution design and ensure alignment with business objectives and customer journeys.
• Support testing activities, including UAT preparation, execution, defect management, and production readiness.
• Manage vendor governance activities, action follow-up, and escalation processes where required.

Project Management & Reporting

• Manage project delivery follow-up.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, RAID logs, action plans, and status reports.
• Organise and support preparation of steering committees, working groups, and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide clear executive-level reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
• Ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in payments, cards, digital wallets, E-commerce, or financial services.
• Proven experience in both business analysis roles.
• Experience delivering complex payment projects involving multiple stakeholders and third-party providers.
• Experience working with card tokenization, digital payment solutions, card schemes, or wallet technologies is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Click-to-Pay, card-on-file tokenization, network tokenization, or related payment technologies is a significant asset.
