Senior Technical Business Analyst

Rate: £640 per day Inside IR35

Location: London or Bristol / Hybrid - approx. one day per week onsite
Active SC clearance required

We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join a major public-sector technology programme.

This is a senior role for someone who can operate comfortably across business and technical environments, leading requirements analysis, identifying cross-programme dependencies and working with senior stakeholders to shape solutions and support programme delivery.

The Role

You'll take a lead role in investigating, analysing and defining platform requirements across multiple business and technical areas.

You'll work closely with Platform teams and programme stakeholders, helping to ensure requirements are clearly understood, dependencies and impacts are identified, and decisions are supported by robust Business Analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the elicitation, analysis and documentation of requirements across complex business and technical areas.
• Identify and assess dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities across multiple programmes and delivery areas.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and align them with strategic objectives.
• Produce high-quality Business Analysis artefacts, including requirements, process models and impact assessments.
• Act as a key link between technical Platform teams and programme stakeholders.
• Support programme planning, governance and key decision-making.
• Provide senior-level Business Analysis expertise across a complex technology environment.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in candidates with:

• Strong experience as a Senior Technical Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst.
• Extensive experience in requirements elicitation, analysis and definition.
• Experience working across both business and technical domains.
• Strong understanding of dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities within complex programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders.
• Experience producing detailed BA documentation and artefacts.
• The ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear business requirements.
• Experience within large-scale transformation, enterprise technology or public-sector programmes would be highly beneficial.
• Active MOD SC clearance - essential.
