Consultancy Business Analyst
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + benefits
Location: London (1 day a week onsite)
Security Clearance: SC cleared or eligible

The role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to work for a consultancy supporting large-scale business and digital transformation integration programmes. Working within a blended, multi-disciplinary team, you will act as a key connector between business stakeholders, technical teams, service delivery, and governance.

You will use user research, discovery techniques, and strong analytical skills to define needs, shape solutions, and support delivery across multiple interdependent workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate discovery workshops to identify organisational needs, pain points, and transformation drivers.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and persona-driven research to understand user needs, business processes, and Legacy systems.
• Produce and manage prioritised requirements backlogs, ensuring alignment to programme objectives and standards.
• Create high-quality artefacts including user stories, epics, process maps, and acceptance criteria using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Act as a trusted point of contact between business and delivery teams to ensure shared understanding and effective decision-making.
• Support prioritisation, roadmap planning, risk management, and UAT as required.
• Work closely with Service Designers and Technical Architects to ensure solutions are practical, compliant, and user-centred.

Essential Experience

• Strong business analysis experience in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of public sector digital delivery, including Agile and GDS standards.
• Proven ability to lead discovery and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Confidence managing competing priorities across multiple teams and suppliers.
• SC cleared or clearable.

Desirable

• Experience on central government digital transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of supplier integration, contract transition, or application rationalisation.
