This opportunity allows you to be deeply involved in translating financial market and treasury activities into compliant and optimized accounting processes.

As a Change Expert within the Financial Accounting domain, you will serve as a key liaison between business lines, regulatory stakeholders, and IT delivery teams. Your work will help ensure that changes to products, processes, and regulatory requirements are accurately reflected in financial systems and reporting.

This role is ideal for individuals interested in financial accounting, treasury operations, and process improvement, and offers two tracks of development: becoming a subject matter expert or evolving into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Working within a multidisciplinary Agile squad, you will engage in initiatives involving onboarding new portfolios, enhancing reporting flows, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Your tasks will include:

• Translating business needs into finance-specific requirements and user stories.
• Acting as the main Finance point of contact for complex, front-to-back initiatives.
• Coordinating and facilitating change activities across departments and programs.
• Supporting the product owner in backlog refinement and planning.
• Performing data and process analyses related to financial inputs, outputs, and controls.
• Implementing and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and controls.
• Leading or supporting testing activities including functional, user acceptance, and migration tests.
• Collaborating with IT to turn design concepts into live system implementations.
• Providing second-line functional support and overseeing daily financial reconciliations and reporting processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Accounting, Business IT, Economics, or a related field (with a strong academic background).
• 10+ years of experience in the financial services sector, with a focus on Wholesale Banking product accounting.
• In-depth understanding of banking processes, particularly related to Financial Markets and Group Treasury.
• Familiarity with complex financial instruments (e.g., FX, MM, swaps, securities, repos).
• Hedge accounting knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with financial systems such as Murex, Calypso, Summit, or Sophis is advantageous.
• Proficient in SQL, with hands-on experience conducting impact assessments and designing functional solutions.
• Experience creating and executing test strategies across different test phases.
• Skilled in maintaining documentation, user manuals, and portfolio onboarding procedures.
• Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
• Agile mindset, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams with modern tooling and practices.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
