Business Analyst - 12-Month Contract - Outside IR35 - Remote with Occasional Travel

VIQU has partnered with a leading organisation in the public sector to recruit a Business Analyst for a major reform programme focused on standardising and modernising national vetting processes.

The role:

As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in a transformational reform programme. You'll work with a range of national stakeholders to design, document, and support the delivery of changes that include new vetting frameworks, automation, psychometric testing, and policy development.

This role would suit someone experienced in complex public sector reform, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, systems integration, and data/process standardisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct stakeholder engagement and gap analysis to support early discovery.
• Define business processes and requirements for vetting reforms, including decision-making frameworks and new vetting levels.
• Develop process documentation, workflows, and system specifications to support automation and integration.
• Collaborate on the introduction of Open Source and Social Media vetting.
• Contribute to the development of training frameworks, psychometric testing models, and national data standards.

Key skills & experience:

• Proven experience in large-scale public sector transformation or reform programmes.
• Strong background in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and systems analysis.
• Experience working with or alongside national policing bodies or criminal justice organisations is desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder management and documentation skills.
• A proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
• Eligibility for NPPV3 clearance is essential.

• Role: Business Analyst
• Length: 12-month contract
• IR35: Outside IR35
• Rate: £400 - £450 per day
• Location: Remote, with infrequent travel to London and other UK sites
• Clearance: NPPV3
• Must hold or be eligible for clearance
