Business Analyst - MES Manufacturing Systems (FMCG)

Our client is an international ice cream brand known for bold flavor, indulgent experiences, and trend-setting creativity worldwide.

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Systems and B usiness Analyst (hybrid, 40hrs) in Amsterdam with with strong functional and technical understanding of Manufacturing systems to support our global transformation program. This role bridges business process knowledge and systems expertise - ensuring that data, processes, and solutions are aligned as we deploy a new SAP S/4HANA landscape integrated with other complementary manufacturing and analytics tools.

In this role, you'll bring deep functional and technical expertise in manufacturing processes - including production planning, execution, quality management, plant maintenance, and logistics integration - to ensure systems are aligned with business needs.

You'll be responsible for analyzing and documenting core manufacturing functionality and its integration with ERP, MES, and shop floor systems . Your work will involve mapping data flows, defining transformation logic, and identifying changes needed in retained applications to support new end-to-end process and data models. You'll collaborate with architects and data teams to implement a simplified master data governance (MDG) model and support seamless integration across platforms.

As a key contributor to the transformation journey, you'll document interface requirements, support integration testing, and help define and execute cutover procedures. You'll also lead the creation of process documentation, functional specifications, and training materials, while supporting UAT and knowledge transfer. Acting as a bridge between business SMEs and technical teams, you'll ensure manufacturing requirements are translated into scalable system solutions and support change management efforts across the organization.

• Start: ASAP
• Duration of the assignment: 12 months
• Salary depending on experience: between € 4.690-€ 6.000 gross per month based on 40 hours excluding travel allowance; excluding 8,33% holiday allowance, 5% for ADV days, € 2,35 work-from-home allowance; 25 vacation days annually (based on fulltime), pension scheme based on Stipp Basis regulation

Your profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years' experience as a Systems or Business Analyst in manufacturing IT systems, data integration, or ERP implementation.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, MES integrations, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
• Business Analysis or Agile certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, Scrum Master) is a plus

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in the consumer products industry, with a strong grasp of manufacturing business processes and challenges
• Deep understanding of enterprise technology stacks including ERP, CRM, SCM, middleware integration, data analytics, and back-end systems
• Familiarity with integration across ERP, MES, quality, and scheduling platforms
• Proven ability to analyze and map data between systems, including master data objects such as material, customer, location, planning, and execution attributes
• Skilled in translating business processes into system and data requirements, with experience writing functional specifications and data mapping documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and traditional project delivery methodologies
• Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or similar platforms for documentation, testing, and workflow design
