Business Analyst - Contract

Role overview

To provide business analysis support to the 'Research Security Compliance and Risk' Product Team within the 'Research Innovation Operations' change portfolio. This will include working on the following initiatives:

• Foreign Influence Registration Scheme implementation
• Due Diligence processes and escalation
• Cyber security and research security risk mapping and mitigation

Duties and responsibilities

• Work with key stakeholders and the project team to fully understand the project scope and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Advise on suitable analysis methods and stakeholder engagement levels.
• Contribute to the overall project plan managed by the project manager.
• Analyse business options and facilitate agreement on a preferred solution.
• Document detailed future process models and scenarios (e.g., user stories, use cases) in line with project deliverables.
• Maintain knowledge of national security legislation.

Knowledge required

• Experience as a business analyst in a project environment, especially in service and process improvements rather than primarily IT-enabled change.
• Understanding of the full project delivery lifecycle across different phases.
• Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather relevant information.
