Bunkering and Procurement Manager

Auxilia Group Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Bunkering Procurement Manager on behalf of our client company operating in the shipping and logistics industry. This is a permanent opportunity based in Cork.

Role:

• Develop and implement bunker procurement strategies to ensure secure, competitive, and cost-effective fuel supply across the fleet.
  
• Monitor global fuel markets, pricing trends, and supplier performance to optimize purchasing decisions.
  
• Negotiate bunker contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier terms.
  
• Coordinate bunker planning and scheduling to meet voyage and operational requirements.
  
• Oversee procurement of vessel spare parts, stores, technical equipment, and operational services.
  
• Establish and maintain purchasing procedures to ensure governance, transparency, and cost efficiency.
  

Requirements:

• Degree or professional qualification in Procurement, Maritime, or related discipline.
  
• Minimum 5-8 years' experience in bunker procurement, maritime purchasing, or shipping logistics.
  
• Strong knowledge of marine fuel markets, procurement systems, and supplier management.
  
• Experience in contract negotiation, cost analysis, and budget management.
  
• Understanding of maritime environmental and regulatory obligations.
