Bundling Skilled Operative

The Bundling Skilled Operative tasks will include receipt, store and move raw materials and finished goods. To ensure continuous supply to production lines, track inventory, and safely operate plant equipment. To load and unload trailers in a safe and professional manner as directed by the Team Leaders.
What you'll be doing- Safely operate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, or automated plant machinery) to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Operate as part of a team undertaking tasks as required.
- Inspect incoming materials for defects or contamination before they are introduced to the production lines.
- Maintain accurate stock levels by logging material movements.
- Always work safely following risk assessments and work instructions and maintain a clean working environment.
- Embrace our Zero Harm approach to safety.
- Produce quality product in line with the business Quality Management System.
- Work effectively and efficiently to meet production demands.
- Contribute to our Continuous Improvement approach and actively help to reduce waste in our processes.
- Undertake any other duties as required.
- Able to use air and electric hand tools, grinders, etc.
- Able to read drawings and understand and complete documentation relating to processes within the workplace.
- Have a good understanding of Health and Safety and can maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Positive and enthusiastic, supporting a 'can do' attitude.
- Reliable and support a continuous improvement culture.
- Willingness to learn and embrace new ideas.
- Ability to work as part of a team and be self motivated.
- Experience in a Steel Fabrication environment.
- Experience in material handling.
- Experience in the operation of overhead cranes and plant.
- Forklift truck and telehandler operations desired.
- Computer literate to read stock sheets desired.
