Job Description
Building Surveyor - Exeter
Salary: Up to £45,000 • 37 hours per week • Hybrid working
Step into a role where your expertise genuinely shapes the built environment across Devon. This is an opportunity to join a respected, multi disciplinary property consultancy known for delivering high quality surveying, design, engineering and project management services to a wide range of clients.
Based in a modern, open plan office on the outskirts of Exeter-with excellent access to the M5-you'll enjoy a blend of office, home and site based work, giving you both flexibility and variety day to day.
What You'll Do
• Lead and deliver building surveying projects in line with RICS standards
• Provide expert technical advice to clients and colleagues
• Prepare specifications, drawings, tenders and risk assessments
• Manage contracts, monitor sites and ensure quality throughout
• Carry out condition surveys, dilapidations, defect analysis and technical reporting
• Contribute to conservation projects and innovative repair solutions
What You'll Bring
• Professional RICS membership (or working towards chartership)
• Strong experience across new build and refurbishment projects
• Solid understanding of Building Regulations and surveying legislation
• Confident stakeholder engagement and client facing skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a wider technical team
• Full UK driving licence
