Your RoleWe are seeking a full-time Building Surveyor to support residential and commercial surveying projects nationwide. You'll work closely with senior surveyors to conduct inspections, assess defects, and produce detailed technical reports. This role involves reviewing technical documentation, attending site visits, and advising on remedial solutions. You'll be expected to manage risk, maintain high standards of reporting, and contribute to the delivery of best practice construction methodologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing technical data, drawings, and specifications to identify solutions.
- Conducting site inspections and surveys across Ireland.
- Producing high-quality reports and defect assessments.
- Advising clients and internal teams on building regulations and compliance.
- Managing communications with clients and stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting senior staff as needed.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Degree in Building Surveying, Property, or a construction-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Full driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of building, fire, and housing regulations.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and health & safety legislation.
- Experience in both residential and commercial construction.
- Familiarity with planning development legislation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong client facing and relationship building skills.
- Experience with collaborative project environments.
