Building Surveyor - Senior to Associate Director

Location: London (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite)

Type: Full-time

About the Role

Sentinel is partnering with a leading London-based property consultancy to recruit several experienced building surveyors to join their high-performing Building Consultancy team. We are hiring from a Senior to an Associate Directors-level. The team works on a diverse range of projects, from single assets to large portfolios and platform deals, providing expertise across technical due diligence (TDD), dilapidations, contract administration, refurbishment works, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or contribute to the delivery of technical due diligence projects, defect analysis, and commercial advisory services
  • Prepare Schedules of Dilapidations and support negotiations on behalf of landlords or tenants
  • Oversee contract administration, refurbishment projects, and PPM schedules
  • Manage projects efficiently to meet timelines, budgets, and client expectations
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multi-disciplinary teams to provide tailored client solutions
  • Mentor junior staff, ensuring strong team performance
  • Build and maintain client relationships, supporting business development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with quality management procedures and professional standards

Required Skills & Experience
  • Chartered or working toward MRICS (or related professional qualification)
  • Experience or strong understanding of technical due diligence, dilapidations, contract administration, refurbishment works, and PPMs
  • Proven ability to manage projects and for senior roles, lead and develop teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in presenting to clients and stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with willingness to travel across the UK and EMEA as required
