About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced building services design engineer, a key member of the engineering design department, responsible for the development and delivery of detailed design and construction information for the HVAC and building services systems.
What You'll Be Doing- Development of detailed design information for elements of the mechanical/HVAC systems for particular projects.
- Responsible for ensuring that the mechanical/HVAC design is developed in line with relevant Client and industry standards and guidelines.
- Providing technical support during the tendering process.
- Developing relationships with customers, end user clients and supply chain.
- Conducting market research on products/materials to be specified as part of the mechanical/HVAC systems being designed.
- Completing technical assessments on products and materials from various vendors to determine the optimum design solution for a particular project.
- Ensuring coordination of all design information with site construction teams.
- Generating knowledge of all relevant products including statutory and regulatory developments.
- Attending tender launch and adjudication meetings as required.
- Implementing technical innovation and value creation.
- Developing design solutions specific to Ardmac's modular and off-site manufacturing offerings.
Qualifications:
- BSc. in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years' experience of designing mechanical/HVAC services installations in high tech industrial sectors such as cleanroom, data centres and medtech.
- Statutory and Regulatory Procedures
- Building Services best practice
- Detailed knowledge of Technical Systems and Procedures
- Knowledge & experience of developing design for projects in Cleanroom facilities.
- Knowledge and experience of modular/ off-site design solutions
- Understanding of best practice for design of mechanical/HVAC systems for Cleanroom facilities.
- BIM using revit MEP
- Experience in the use of relevant MEP design software packages.
- Standard forms of contract, inc Design and Build
- Estimating, procurement & payment terms
Candidates must already possess authorization to work in Ireland without the need for a work permit application.
