Title & Description Bricks Head of Creative Infrastructure & Public Art - BricksBricks is seeking a senior leader to drive the strategy and delivery of its Public Art and Creative Infrastructure programs. This role will oversee the commissioning of high-quality public artworks, manage creative infrastructure projects, and lead a team of freelance and in-house producers. The position combines strategic planning, partnership development, and community engagement to expand Bricks' impact across Bristol and the West of England.
The Role Overview- Contract: 12-month fixed-term PAYE, potential to become permanent
- Hours: 22.5 per week (3 days/week), flexible based on project needs
- Responsible to: CEO
- Responsible for: Public Art Producer, Freelance Public Art Producers, Creative Producers, Designers
- Programme Oversight: Bricks Public Art & Creative Infrastructure Agency
- Lead the strategic direction of Public Art and Creative Infrastructure projects
- Secure new partnerships with developers, local authorities, and funders
- Develop programming toolkits and partnership policies
- Contribute to long-term creative infrastructure acquisition and activation
- Support project ideation, planning, budgeting, and artist selection
- Manage contracts, communications, and stakeholder engagement
- Deliver projects directly when required
- Oversee new venue/spaces from planning to operational launch
- Develop business models, community engagement strategies, and impact evaluation plans
- Coordinate access, physical space, and management strategies
- Line manage the Public Art Producer, setting KPIs, conducting reviews, and developing staff
- Support the Communications Producer in planning and coordination
- Lead social impact, evaluation, and departmental forecasting and budgeting
- Experienced professionals in public art, creative infrastructure, or related sectors
- Proven track record in business development, team management, and strategic planning
- Senior management or leadership experience preferred
- Based in or willing to work in Bristol, United Kingdom
