Job overview

We are looking for a well organised, motivated individual to join our busy and friendly team within the Greater Manchester Breast Screening office. You will be required to work to a high standard of accuracy and demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the Breast Screening department. You must have a good attendance record and be flexible in your approach to work. The successful post holder should have a proactive and friendly attitude, demonstrate substantial administrative experience and be able to meet the main duties of the role. Call volumes are high, experience with call handling is essential.

Main duties of the job
  • Answer telephone calls
  • Rebook appointments
  • Filing
  • Input data from client sheets
  • Process the clinics on a daily basis
  • Assist in the call/recall organisation of the High Risk screening
  • liaise with a multi disciplinary team to ensure our service runs smoothly
Person specification Qualifications
  • General education to GCSE standard
  • Evidence of further development
  • AMSPAR - The Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists
Experience
  • Minimum of 12 months clerical experience working within a healthcare and customer services environment
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience of working with Trust's policies and procedures
  • Experience of working in a breast screening unit
