What will I be working on?
As a Brand Specialist, you will be part of the Strategic Vendor Services (SVS) team, which provides a suite of services designed to help Amazon's most strategic brands across all key areas of retail business. You will work with vendors supplying top brands on Amazon, acting as their main point of contact. Your focus will be on working backwards from the customer, identifying inputs to grow your brands and improve their performance, while fostering strong business relationships and ensuring vendor satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the relationship end-to-end with top brands.
- Partner internally with key retail functions to define priorities and operational goals based on brand needs.
- Collaborate with the Media Team to ensure top-notch event execution.
- Define joint business plans and help deliver impactful results for supported brands.
- Regularly audit metrics to enhance the SVS experience and meet targets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within SVS across MENA.
Focus Areas for Brand Support
The role involves tasks across five focus areas, including but not limited to:
- Business Advice: Providing insights based on financial analysis to identify opportunities.
- Selection: Managing product launches and improving discoverability.
- Availability: Driving process improvements to reduce costs and lead times while increasing innovation.
- Traffic: Analyzing channels and supporting marketing initiatives.
- Conversion: Planning promotions and enhancing the customer journey.
Additionally, you will work on improving service efficiency through tools and cross-functional collaboration, including with tech teams.
This role is based in Egypt with rotational shifts and offers broad exposure to the e-commerce industry, opening various career paths.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the trusted business advisor for Amazon Tier 1 Vendors.
- Innovate solutions to complex business challenges.
- Manage a significant portfolio of Tier 1 Vendors.
- Develop and evaluate business plans to meet or exceed improvement targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply, Operations).
- Manage pricing, visibility, and product availability.
- Translate category plans into actionable steps.
- Build productive relationships with vendors for mutual benefit.
- Convert data and insights into actionable strategies using analytical tools.
- Identify opportunities for product, service, and process improvements.
- Implement improvement projects across different parts of Amazon's business.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or Supply Chain with strong academic background.
- 0-4 years of experience in key accounts management, project management, customer-facing, or commercial roles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience in FMCG, E-commerce, or Digital sectors preferred.
- Experience in digital space, brand management, key account management, process improvement, and data management is advantageous.
- Knowledge of analytical tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, or HTML is a plus.
