Role Overview:

Jaded London is looking for a detail orientated and proactive established Branch Merchandiser or Retail Merchandiser to join the growing Merchandising team. This is an exciting opportunity to join Jaded London as they continue to grow their physical retail presence. This is a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity to lead and shape retail processes, best practice and strategic growth for Jaded London's retail landscape.

Your focuses will be to manage localised assortments and volumes, to maximise profitability at store level. You will analyse trading performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal basis to influence and optimise store level assortment, availability and to drive full price sales. Being an excellent communicator is essential for this role to build strong relationships with all key stakeholders across head office and retail staff.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, with a keen eye for detail and strong ability to problem solve.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
  • Daily awareness of trading performance and all store KPIs, manage trading actions and communication with store staff to optimise sales and minimise risk. Independently drive analysis and areas of focus at a daily level, bringing creative ideas of how to present data and gather actionable insights.
  • Present weekly retail sales analysis for Jaded London and Jaded Man to wider teams, telling a clear and concise story of highlights and lowlights for the week based on data analysis and insights. Suggest actions for all departments and retail staff to maximise trading output week to week. Present best and worst sellers by store and secure optimal full price sell through in season.
  • Complete allocations to stores, ensuring the right product in the right quantity is delivered to doors at the right time. Ensure strong availability on key lines while controlling depth and risk. Ensure decisions are data driven and prioritised correctly with other head office departments, balancing retail with ecommerce and wholesale partner business needs.
  • Lead stock rebalancing strategies, including inter-store transfers, consolidations and returns. Rolling up profitability impact of decisions.
  • Position new assortments with the buying team and store staff based on localised and historical data and upcoming trends. Instil deadlines across head office to ensure stores are aligned with web launches and collections.
  • Manage exit strategies across options and stock. Suggest and manage pricing and promotional activities to optimise sell through, whilst ensuring brand equity is protected.
  • Lead weekly meetings with store staff, instil an engaged and action-led meeting, encouraging store staff to bring trading insights and ideas to inform head office strategy. Motivate staff to action priority trade levers and push priority KPIs to maximise store performance. Act as the main contact between stores, warehouse and head office teams.
  • Manage critical path deadlines for retail, always demonstrate foresight and strong critical path management with awareness of internal department deadlines and understand the impact to priorities.
  • Accurately update and forecast WSSI and store WSSI's, be able to highlight opportunity and risk to sales, stock and intake. Completes monthly reforecasts, presenting key rationale and actions required to the Head of Trading and Finance department. Filters through key actions as priority with retail, buying, merchandising and production teams.
  • Continually review intake levels and deliveries to manage expectations with store staff and logistics teams. Report on any lateness risks, especially around collection launches and bestsellers, making suggestions on when to take from DC stock or raise replenishment orders with suppliers. Consistently demonstrate reactiveness.
  • Forecast size ratios for new styles and replenishment based on localised performance and accurately provide buy ratios. Complete regular sizing and returns analysis.
  • Track deliveries and operational flows with logistics teams, provide updates to head office departments of key product launches or replenishment in store to push on marketing channels.
  • Produce seasonal strategy packs for retail with key learnings for season ahead to ensure the correct depth and breadth of styles are planned for new and existing doors based on localised performance, present to wider teams to inform buy patterns and planning.
  • Work closely with the VM team to update VM, fixtures and rails in store based on trading insights and staff feedback. Ensure VM is regularly updated, tested and ensure all square footage is traded effectively.
  • Continuously improve retail processes and ways of working with head office departments. Maintain accurate stock and sales data, flag errors and inconsistencies compared to other channels. Regularly problem solve with other departments and resolve store feedback quickly.
  • Possess good competitor awareness, particularly with local events and store openings.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record as an established Branch Merchandiser or Retail Merchandiser with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Commercial awareness and strong trading mindset, with a focus on reactivity and creative ideas to trade in season.
  • Understanding of store grading, assortment planning and capacity planning.
  • Passion for the Jaded London brand and the fashion industry.
  • Consistently demonstrating foresight, posses great organisational skills and instil critical path deadlines within the Buying & Merchandising department and across other functions to maximise opportunities.
  • Proven WSSI, intake and OTB management, as well as forecasting and planning experience across range building, markdowns and quantifying buys.
  • Leads by example as a team player, exhibits positive attitude and a growth mindset.
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Proactive and adaptable. Can bring about ideas and change to streamline processes and maximise efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and is able to build great relationships with retail staff.
  • Strong prioritisation and accuracy skills. A critical thinker and problem solver who always bring solutions.
