Bookkeeper

RG Consultancy are working with a fantastic business in Tarporley who are looking to recruit a Bookkeeper on a full-time basis. You will join a small team and report into the Finance Manager of the company

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records and accounting systems
• Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, expenses, payments and receipts
• Complete regular bank, supplier and ledger reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including payment processing and credit control
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with month-end and year-end procedures
• Monitor cash flow, outstanding invoices and incoming payments
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Liaise with suppliers and internal staff to resolve payment and account queries
• Assist with financial reporting and provide information for management accounts
• Ensure all bookkeeping is completed accurately and within required deadlines

Person Specification

• At least 5 years' experience working with an all-around accounts or bookkeeper role
• An AAT qualification or studying towards is highly desirable
• Strong IT skills including MS Excel and accounting software, experience with XERO would be desirable
• Experience working within a professional services or accountancy practice would be an advantage
