Bookkeeper / Semi Senior Accountant

An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an Accountant / Bookkeeper to join its Nottingham office

Our client is a well-established professional services firm providing accountancy, tax and business advisory services to a broad range of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and individuals.

Description

Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a varied client portfolio

Preparing management accounts and statutory accounts

Processing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements

Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts

Reconciling bank accounts, balance sheet accounts and ledgers

Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support

Profile

Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment

Strong bookkeeping and accounts preparation experience

Knowledge of VAT, reconciliations and financial reporting requirements

Experience using cloud-based accounting software

AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience
