Role Summary: BMS Design Engineer

Due to continued success and project expansion, our client is seeking a skilled BMS Design Engineer to support the delivery of medium to large-scale projects across the UK. The role involves end-to-end BMS system design-from initial scope through to final handover documentation. This includes creating control strategies, panel designs, hardware and software architecture, and graphical interface packages.

This is a technically autonomous role requiring a sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within modern building environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring designs are efficient, functional, and aligned to client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed BMS designs from client specifications
Create control panel designs, hardware configurations, and software/graphics packages
Coordinate across internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project alignment
Conduct site surveys and support project engineering across different stages
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety protocols
Author BMS system strategy documents and handover packs

Candidate Requirements:
Minimum HNC qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
Proven experience in BMS/control system design (including Siemens, Trend, or Honeywell systems)
Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical building systems
Competency in conducting site surveys and working with live equipment
Comfortable with hybrid working and occasional site visits
Strong team player with initiative and excellent problem-solving skills
Right to work in the UK and willing to undergo security screening
