BMS & Controls Engineer - Global Tech Campus (King's Cross, N1C)

Location: King's Cross, London, N1C
Salary/Package: £70,000 base + £5,100 car allowance + 10% bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent - Static Site

Overview

We're recruiting a BMS & Controls Engineer to support a world leading global technology company at their brand new flagship campus in King's Cross (N1C).
You'll join a specialist engineering team within a major FM provider, working in one of the most advanced commercial buildings in London - packed with smart systems, IoT integrations, and cutting edge controls technology.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in a high performance, tech driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on the building's BMS and control systems
  • Monitor alarms, environmental conditions, system performance and resilience
  • Complete diagnostics, system checks and optimisation tasks
  • Act as a technical point of contact for the client and on site engineering teams
  • Ensure all BMS software, hardware and documentation follow change control processes
  • Manage BMS protocols, alarm strategies and fault escalation
  • Investigate and rectify faults on HVAC, mechanical and electrical plant
  • Support start up, operation and shutdown of building plant and equipment
  • Maintain and analyse data from IoT devices, smart systems and FDD platforms
  • Review system performance and recommend enhancements
  • Attend technical and operational meetings as required
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in BMS, Controls or Smart Building Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of: Tridium, EasyIO, BACnet, Modbus, MQTT/API integration
  • Understanding of mechanical & electrical building services
  • Basic IT networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, connectivity)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of an on site engineering team
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and technical skills
