We have exciting opportunity for a BIM Detailer to join Suir Engineering Ltd for a Semi Conductor project in Ireland. This role is based out of our Citywest office on a hybrid model.

The BIM Detailer is responsible for Modelling Mechanical Tool install / Progressive build packages from Design P&IDs, to be delivered in 3D Plant software in accordance with project requirements, company BIM standards, and client specifications. 3D models to be shared to in house QA/QC team to review as per company workflows, The Detailer supports project teams by managing model coordination, clash detection, information exchange, and BIM documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The role reports to the BIM Manager & Site Project Manager.

Working closely with design engineers, project managers, site teams, architects, structural engineers, and other contractors, the BIM Detailer ensures that coordinated models facilitate efficient design, construction, and handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model and Coordinate BIM models.
  • Ensure all project models comply with company/ Project standards, client BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and company BIM protocols.
  • Assist in Model federation and coordination using Autodesk Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Conduct regular clash detection exercises and issue clash reports.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings with design teams and subcontractors.
  • Monitor model quality, completeness, and compliance throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinate model updates with Project stakeholders.
  • Maintain project BIM models in Plant 3D.
  • Ensure model naming conventions, shared parameters, and file structures comply with company standards.
  • Manage model uploads, version control, and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
  • Produce coordinated model packages for design reviews, construction, and client submissions.
  • Support digital handover requirements, including COBie and Asset Information Models (AIM), where applicable.
Technical Support
  • Develop and maintain Plant/ Revit families, templates, and BIM content libraries.
  • Troubleshoot BIM-related issues and improve modelling workflows.
  • Assist in implementing new BIM technologies and digital construction initiatives.
Project Delivery
  • Support project planning by coordinating BIM deliverables with project programmes.
  • Produce 3D views, coordinated layouts, sections, schedules, and installation drawings.
  • Support prefabrication and off-site manufacturing (OSM) through accurate coordinated models.
  • Assist site teams with model-based construction sequencing and installation.
Quality Assurance
  • Carry out regular BIM audits.
  • Ensure model accuracy before issue for construction.
  • Maintain project documentation relating to BIM processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company Quality Management Systems, BEP and project procedures.
Qualifications
  • BIM qualification or certification is desirable.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in BIM coordination within an MEP contractor or consulting engineering environment.

Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction methodologies.

  • Understanding of Common Data Environment (CDE) processes.
  • Experience in model coordination from design through construction and handover.
  • Excellent coordination and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
