BID Role:

  • Provide a visible deterrence and presence in the allocated BID area.
  • Offer excellent customer service to businesses, residents, and visitors.
  • Use the Alert App and other platforms to report all activity in the BID area.
  • Support area and business tasks as directed by Senior or Client Management, within reasonable travel distance.
  • Maintain a proactive, reassuring presence in the BID area.
  • Engage with local businesses to communicate BID work and provide advice on crime or issues.
  • Visit businesses regularly and maintain contact to offer reassurance and information.
  • Support the link between the BID and local businesses.
  • Report public realm issues (e.g., litter, broken street furniture) to relevant authorities.
  • Identify, investigate, deter, and report on crime and anti-social behavior.
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients, BID Wardens, Area Managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings and complete reports related to BID activity.
  • Participate in coordinated patrols in problem areas.
  • Report BID information and KPIs on electronic platforms.
  • Be approachable and friendly to locals, tourists, and all persons in the area.
  • Study the BID area to provide advice and assistance.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by Client or Lodge Management.

Person Specification:

  • SIA Licence (CP, DS, or Security) essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technology, including smartphones or tablets for reporting.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Confidence in handling issues promptly and escalating when necessary.
  • Availability to work approximately 5 shifts per week, including weekends.
  • Ability to meet operational and service level requirements.
  • Experience in similar roles preferred.
  • Supportive team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to perform ongoing patrols across the BID area, with or without reasonable adjustments.
