BI Developer - Permanent Position - Hybrid - North West
Harvey Nash is working with an organization based in the North West who are looking for a BI Developer. This role requires the candidate to be on-site twice a week.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BI Developer to lead the IT team through a critical transformation project. This role involves migrating their on-premises case management system to a cloud-based solution, specifically moving data and SSRS reports into Azure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth transition and ongoing operation of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the migration of data and SSRS reports to Azure, ensuring all critical information is accurately transferred.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Build scalable, optimized data models and integrate multiple data sources.
- Develop custom business applications using Power Apps, focusing on usability and performance.
- Create automated workflows with Power Automate and integrate them with Power BI and Power Apps.
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing flows and applications.
- Provide training and support to users on Power Platform tools.
- Ensure documentation, security compliance, and data governance best practices are followed.
- Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft Power Platform innovations.
- Proven experience building solutions with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Strong data modelling, SQL, and data warehousing knowledge.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (or working towards them).
- Understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS (for advanced app customization).
- Experience with AI Builder or integrating AI into the Power Platform (desirable).
- Highly IT literate with strong systems knowledge.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
- Organized, deadline-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Positive attitude and strong team player.
