About Your Compensation

Compensation for this position is $10.70/hour plus tipped earnings. Employees scheduled for non-tipped duties for 20%+ of their shift, who attend required events like orientation or training, or who do not average minimum wage with their combined tipped income each week will be paid a minimum wage of $16.00/hour.

About the Job

The Double Eagle serves players and members of The Chautauqua Golf Club providing snacks, lunch, and a full-service bar in the air-conditioned clubhouse, under a covered patio and around the greens on our mobile beverage cart.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate beverage cart while providing service to golfers around the green course.
• Maintain a well-stocked beverage cart.
• Demonstrate knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor.
• Know and understand New York state liquor laws.
• Track sales and maintain cash bank.

Work Schedule

Flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations. Seasons run June to August. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift start times vary from 5am to 5pm.

Living on the Grounds

No employer-provided housing. Applicants should secure independent housing within a commutable distance.

Referral Program

Chautauqua Institution's Referral Bonus Program is a talent solution to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce that encompasses all the skills and experience necessary to deliver on our goals and objectives. Chautauqua Institution will provide a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for active employees referring a new candidate who is hired and remains employed for at least 90-days from the first physical date of work. In the case of seasonal positions working less than 6 months, the new candidate must remain actively employed for at least 30 days from the first physical date of work and until the closing date of the season. The closing date of the season is the last Sunday in August.
